Convention Egg Carving Classes
Hummers Trellis by Tina Boes

We are pleased to announce that International Award Winning Egg Artist Tina Boes will be teaching the egg carving classes again at the convention this year. To take a look at some of the beautiful work Tina does, visit her website at www.carvedeggshells.com.

Some of our members may know Tina from her Yahoo group, Egg Art, groups.yahoo.com/group/eggart or from taking her class last year in Montana.

Tina’s work has been featured in several egg art magazines and she is a past egg-carving judge for the Eggshell Sculptor Magazine.

Pre-registration is required for this Accredited Emu Producer class. The class is $50.00 per student. You may pay when you register for the convention, however you must contact Ann Scatena to confirm the class time.

The classes will be held twice daily on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Class Times will be 8AM to Noon and 1PM to 5PM. There will be 10 students per class. We will provide the burrs, masks, patterns, and 2 eggs per attendee.

Students will bring their own Dremel tool with flex shaft attachment (see photo to the left) and two towels to the class. Using a flex shaft is much easier on the hand than trying to carve with just the Dremel tool. Burrs and masks will be supplied.

This class is going to be advertised heavily. We already have people inquiring about the days and times. So don't be disappointed, sign up early.
